Jorjet Alcocer
Jorjet Alcocer is the most versatile dancer on the planet. Known as the "Salsa MVP", she has traveled the world both leading and following On1 and On2. Jorjet’s natural style amazes her onlookers and has given her enormous respect from the Salsa elite. From teaching a Ladies styling class one hour to teaching an Advanced Partnerwork class the next hour, she can do it all. Other dances include: Kizomba, Tango, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Two Step, Waltz etc.... She has been featured globally in: Australia, Belgium, Bermuda, Canada, China, Croatia, Curacao, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Venezuela and all over the United States. Elvis Collado & Melanie Castillo
This coming duo is coming in hot. Many know them for their electrifying moves in Salsa & Bachata. Melanie Castillo & Elvis Collado has been highly requested before and finally they are coming to the Columbus Salsa Bachata Weekend July 11th-14th . Teaching on Saturday and Sunday of the event.
Nery Garcia
Nery Garcia is the founder, owner and director for DanceSWFL. Nery is the original founder and creator of Elegant Rumba Dance Company when he established it in 2008. He is credited with being one of the “World’s Best Leads” by world-renown salsa dancer “Edie, The Salsa Freak,” and is featured on her “World’s Best Leads” DVD series. He was also a featured contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 4 on FOX, and a featured dancer on MTV’s MADE, “MADE into a Salsa Dancer’ episode. Nery Garcia is mostly know for the millions that follow his unique Elegant Salsa Style on Youtube; making him a Salsa YOUTUBE SENSATION. Nery’s celebrity status and extraordinary teaching technique draws people from all over the world to come and train with him.
Norma Rivera
Norma Rivera is becoming a regular headliner at the Columbus Salsa Bachata Weekend. This is her 4th time back as she is highly requested Resides and teaches mostly in Puerto Rico as she is the director of Unique Dance Company. She is also recognized in teaching in Salsa Festivals in Orlando and Miami. You will love her energy and charm.
Chelsey Owen
Chelsey Owen is owner of Meraki Dance Company based out of Louisville, Kentucky. She began her dance training in ballroom in 2011, several years later honing in on salsa and bachata. Proficient in leading & following, Chelsey is passionate about developing strong technical dance foundations and high body awareness, alongside spreading the joy of creativity, self-expression and confidence found through partner dancing.
